I Travis sono un gruppo musicale rock scozzese formatosi nel 1995 a Glasgow. Questo nome deriva dal protagonista del film “Paris, Texas” di Wim Wenders. I Travis hanno vinto due volte il premio del British album of the year e sono ritenuti i precursori di band insieme agli Oasis. I componenti sono: Francis Healy, Dougie Payne, Andy Dunlop e Neil Primrose. Hanno pubblicato in tutto 10 album. I primi due album degli anni 90 sono: “Good Feeling” e “The man who”. Nel 2001 pubblicarono “The invisible band” con le canzoni “Sing” col celebre ritornello “But if you sing, sing Sing sing sing sing For the love you bring Won’t mean a thing Unless you sing Sing sing sing” in cui nel video musicale lanciano le torte in faccia come alla comiche di Stanlio e Ollio e “Side” col celebre ritornello “That the grass is always greener on the other side The neighbour’s got a new car that you wanna drive And when time is running out you wanna stay alive We all live under the same sky We all we live, We all we die There is no wrong, There is no right The circle only has one side Side Side”.
Nel 2003 pubblicarono “12 Memories” con la famosa canzone “The beautiful occupation” col celebre ritornello “The beautiful occupation the beautiful occupation You don’t need an invitation To drop in upon a nation”. Nel 2007 pubblicarono “The boy with no name” con la famosa canzone “Closer” col celebre ritornello “Just need to get closer Closer Lean on me now Lean on me now”. Nel 2008 pubblicarono “Ode to J Smith” nel 2013 pubblicarono “Where you stand” con la famosa canzone omonima. Nel 2016 pubblicarono “Everything at Once” e l’ultimo album è “10 Songs”.
